We will travel to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and visit its exterior from Ba Dinh Square. We will then continue to the One Pillar Pagoda, built in 1049 from wood atop a single stone pillar. It is designed to resemble a lotus flower in honor of Buddha.
We will visit the Temple of Literature, the country's first university, founded in 1070. It is one of the symbols of Vietnamese feudal education. This site pays homage to intellectual curiosity, an important tradition in Vietnamese culture.
Lunch at a local restaurant
Afterward, you will see the relics scattered around Hoan Kiem Lake (Restored Sword), such as the Turtle Tower and Ngoc Son Temple, and learn about the cultural uniqueities of the Old Quarter.
Finally, we will take a scenic rickshaw ride through Hanoi's Old Quarter, also known as the 36 Streets.
